Kickstarting the New Year with Topshop

So it's January 8th and I am finally back with new content! I took a bit of a break from blogging over Christmas and New Year as alongside my camera deciding not to work every time I tried to switch it on, with also being ill - needless to say I was feeling a little unmotivated when it came to blogging. Now it's the new year i'm so excited to get back into it and see what lies ahead for 2017 and how my blog will progress!

In 2016 I had the chance to work alongside some of my absolute favorite brands which I had always hoped to work for in the future when I started out blogging. One of those amazing brands being Topshop. Today I have teamed up with Topshop again to talk all about my New Years Resolutions for 2017.

Resolution No.1 - Treat Myself More

If you know me personally you will know that I worry about money way way too much. I'm a student so being on a student budget I think its inevitable to worry about money, but sometimes I worry way more than I need to. It's very rare I'll go out and treat myself to an expensive new bag or a new pair of shoes, and in 2017 I want to make sure to do that more. Next year I will be graduating from university so I think this year is one of the last for a while that I can be certain i'll be able to afford those little treats, so I want to make sure I do it whilst I can!

In my opinion, the New Year calls for new clothes and you can't go wrong by starting 2017 with a killer new outfit! I'm a sucker for coats, and anything pastelly and fluffy, so this Topshop coat is literally what dreams are made of for me. (Had to throw in the Lizzie Mcguire reference there!) Things like this Topshop coat is 100% the kind of thing I want to try and treat myself to more. It's definitely a statement but the quality guarantees it will last such a long time, so it's 100% worth the money. Also, how amazing does it look alongside this embroidered denim mini (which is also from Topshop!)

Resolution No.2 - Worry Less & Do More

This resolution kind of follows on from my first. I am 100% a worrier. I know you should always think before you act, but sometimes I take this to the extreme. In 2017 I want to be more spontaneous and not worry of the consequences of things so much (within reason of course!). For example, I very rarely go to blogging events, partly due to the fact train tickets to London are so expensive, but also because the worry of getting lost in London on my own (trust me it happens every single time!) and not knowing anyone whilst i'm there usually stops me from going. I'm not sure why as every blogging event I have managed to go to I have met the loveliest of girls, so in 2017 I want to make sure I go to as many events as I can!

Resolution No. 3 - Be More Organised!

I'm not the worse person when it comes to organisation, but it's definitely something I can improve on. Between going to uni, blogging, working for Circulr.co, learning to drive and having a social life, I can find myself pretty busy at times. I want to try and do little things that I wouldn't usually do but really should - like keeping a diary and doing uni work as soon as it's set. Little things which will make life so much easier for myself in the long run!

I'm not the best person at sticking to my resolutions, so this year I wanted to try and make some which were a little more realistic. It's so easy to start a year saying that you're going to start a diet and become a gym freak but realistically, it can take a lot more motivation than just the new year to start something like that! Don't get me wrong I know some people do stick to it and I would love to have it in me to eat healthy and be gym obsessed, but I doubt it's going to happen anytime soon! My resolutions are things I hope I can try and incorporate subtly everyday, and hopefully better myself as the year goes on.
