2 ways to style #STYLEHEROES with Dorothy Perkins

Today's post is in collaboration with one of my current fave retail stores Dorothy Perkins. I have to admit until recently I hadn't been on their site for a while, but when I was introduced to their Style Heroes campaign by other bloggers, I found so many different pieces that I had to have!

The Style Heroes campaign is centered around building a staple wardrobe for this season. Dorothy Perkins have selected 10 key pieces which will have you well on your way to building a perfect wardrobe for A/W and the coming months. I thought for this post, it would be fun to show how I would style up a couple of the pieces, and show how one piece can be styled up in different ways.

For my staple piece, I decided to opt for this sheer white black and red top. I think it so unique and such a statement, which makes it perfect for day and night. In my first look, I decided to pair the top with a pair of mom jeans. Mom jeans are perfect for going into winter as they are so so comfy but I think give a little bit more of an edge than the usual skinny fit jeans. I love the different colored patch detail on these, if you know me i'm so bad for not wanting to buy anything if it is too plain, so these jeans have the perfect amount of sass whilst still being casual for me!

Pinafore - Dorothy Perkins*

For my second outfit, I decided to style something up that is perfect for current unpredictable English weather we are having! This embroidered pinafore is not only so on trend right now, but so so comfy and effortless. It looks perfect on it's own with a pair of trainers or with some ankle boots and some tights when the weather starts to cool down a little! This is definitely one of my staple pieces for the winter and I can't wait to start wearing it when I go back to uni next week.

And last but not least, something which I think will look perfect with both of these outfits, are these velvet trainers. I am obsessed with velvet at the moment, so when I saw these I just about died - I had to have them. They are so so comfy and much like everything else in this post, are casual whilst still being interesting.
