If you follow me on Instagram you will know that a few weeks ago I visited Ben Brown Hair in Derby to get my hair done. After having abit of an at home hair disaster, I was left with super barbie blonde ends and ginger roots which neededto be sorted! I was super excited and grateful when the lovely Ben Brown offered to do my hair for me. I sent him over a few pictures of the different kinds of hair colors which I would have loved to achieve for him to look over. I then attended a consultation at the salon. I was a little nervous to visit the salon as I wasn't quite sure what to expect as I have never really had a hair consultation before, and with my hair being quite damaged from constant bleaching and heat damage, I didn't know if there was much that could be done to my hair. However, when I got there Ben was super super friendly and welcoming and talked me through what he thought what would be the best process for me, based on the images I had sent him. We decided on a soft balyage root so I wasn't needing to constantly touch up my blonde hair, and so that everything all looked that little bit more natural. The consultation with Ben really helped me to feel at ease that I was in the hands of someone who really knew what they was talking about, although currently training as a a L'oreal ID Artist, why would he not! So about a week later I headed to the salon to let Ben work his magic on my hair. On arrival, Ben was finishing up a transformation on another girl who had decided to make the change from Black to Blonde. I was amazed what I walked in to as Ben had managed to shift the girls hair up to a beautiful bright blonde all in one session. The clients hair was still so long and in amazing condition, it made me even more excited for Ben to start work on my hair. Once Ben had finished on his previous client, he sat down and had another chat with me about what process my hair was going to go through today and what I could expect from the outcome. It was really great to know how much thought and pride Ben puts into his work to ensure that he does an amazing job everytime. He was also accompanied by his assistant Cydney on the day, who was equally as lovely and helped throughout the whole process of finishing my hair ( and who now also has the most to die for silver/grey hair!).
I was so so impressed when I got to see the finishing result. My once Barbie blonde hair seemed to look so much more natural and it even looked and felt in better condition. The products Ben used on my hair made my both smell and feel like a dream, I was and still am literally so happy with the end result. I can definitely say that I plan to pay the salon many more visits. Ben definitely has a knack for creating beautiful hair, within such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
