HK Full Head Hair Extensions in shade Manhattan Highlighted Blonde 20-22" - Dirty Looks*
If you know me, then you will know that i'm abit of an addict when it comes to doing my hair. I love trying new products and changing up the way it looks through the use of the new products. However, the main thing which I love about creating different looks with my hair, and use all the time, is hair extensions. I have literally tried most of the hair extension brands on the market, you name it, and i've probably tried it. So you can image how excited I was when I was asked if I would like to review a set of HK Full Head Hair Extensions! I've always been curious about Dirty Looks hair extensions, as i've heard so many amazing reviews and the website and blog just seems so pretty and proffesional, so I've always wanted to try them. The main reason why I have never before, is due to the fact that I was completely unsure on what colour hair to buy.
If you're a hair extension addict like me then you may be aware of the colour coding system that comes with hair extensions. I literally used to live by this method in matching my hair extensions to my hair colour when ordering online, I was always abit funny about asking someone from a website what colour would match my hair, as I thought surely, if they hadn't seen my hair, then they couldn't really know what would match. Now, looking back, I don't know why this put me off so much because how stupid was I! I was matched to the shade Manhattan Highlights by sending pictures of my hair in natural lighting to the Dirty Looks team, and I honestly do not think i've ever owned a set of hair extensions that match my hair colour so well. And, despite that, unlike so many hair extension brands, Dirty Looks have their own unique way of you being able to test out if your hair extensions match when they arrive, so that that you are still able to send them back.
If you look at the pictures above you will see the the extensions come in a packet with two compartments. One side of the packet contains just one clip in piece from the hair extension set, so that you are able to take this out, match up the colour and length to make sure everything fits perfectly, without actually having to remove the whole set of hair extensions from the packaging and consequently not being able to send them back. I do not know why no brand has ever thought of this idea before, because it is such as genius yet simple idea, and I'm sure has saved so many people wasting a big price tag on hair extensions which do not match their hair colour.
Anyways, onto the actual hair extensions! They literally tick every box in which I have always wanted my hair extensions to fill. The quality of them are so so amazing, they're remy human hair which means that they are going to last alot longer than many other hair extension brands. They are super super thick, which is the main thing I look for in hair extensions. I think that there is nothing worse then someone wearing not enough hair extensions for their head so that you can see the join of where someones real hair ends and where their fake hair starts, it's terrible. My favourite aspect of the thickness of the hair extensions is the volumising weft which is included within the set. It is literally the thickest piece of hair extension i've ever seen and really helps to plump up the volume and thickness of the look of your hair. Not only the thickness, but also the layered lengths of the hair extensions ensure that they blend perfectly to your natural hair. And, they all tuck away into the beautiful little purple box so that they don't get ruined lying around on your bedroom floor or hauling them to your best friends house to get ready for a night out (trust me i'm guilty of it in the past).
Overall, (and i'm not even exaggerating), there is not one fault that I have found as of yet that I can pick with these HK Hair extensions. They have literally exceeded all of my expectations. I think the only damage that they have done is made me want everything else from the Dirty Looks website! It features an array of so many different and interesting products which I am dying to try, I have featured the main few on a little wishlist below!
