So i've decided that I am going to be a new series on my blog over the Christmas season - and this post is first of the few! The series is going to be compiling a few different outfit ideas for different events you may attend over Christmas! The first in the series being a Christmas party - and I wanted the trends of Pastels and Holographics/Metallics to inspire this post, because I think they go so well together to create a sort of icy feel, which I think is very christmasy. I have compiled the items in two sort of different outfits, but I have chosen to feature them together because I definitely think you could mix and match the two if you wanted.

The first of the two outfits features the fluffy cami top & flower trimmed metallic skirt from River Island. I adore the girly feel that both of these have when put together. The flower trim on the pale pink skirt is such gorgeous detailing, and stops you from having to splash out on a belt too to spruce up the outfit a little. Since there is a hint of metallic within the skirt, I thought it would be a great opportunity to sport some holographicness! (that should so be a word) Lets be honest, those holographic platform are to die for - well they're definitely top of my Christmas list anyway! And they go so perfectly with the clutch, I couldn't leave it out! To top it all off I added some Holographic nails, and the huge heart necklace from Topshop. I love how girly the necklace is, but at the same time it adds such a huge statement, it's sort of got like an edgy girly feel to it (if that makes any sense at all!)

In my second outfit I chose to feature the floral embellished t-shirt & silver metallic skirt - which are also from River Island (i'm really am loving River Island in this post aren't i?!). I think if I had to choose this would be the look that I would choose to wear myself. I love my first look, but I suit less girlier styles, and I think the leather look silver skirt gives the outfit a bit more of an edge than the first. I love the detailing on the t-shirt, it's so precise and elegant, that it would even look great with a simple pair of high waisted black jeans on a night out! Onto the shoes, which I have been in love with since the moment I laid eyes on them on the Topshop website. I've been looking for a pair of comfy but yet not boring heels for ages, and I think these might just be the ones! I also added the cute little fur clutch from River Island (again) because i'm obsessed with everything fur at the moment, and it just adds even more glamour to the outfit!
